A WordPress website for a new engineering consultancy
Opinari Ltd is a specialist engineering consultancy with particular experience in the rail industry. Derek from Opinari wanted a new website to help solidify his company’s online presence and allow him to showcase his extensive experience and projects to potential clients.
Planning the WordPress design and build
The client needed 5 pages including home page, service page, projects template, blog template and contact page. The website project was split into two parts, design and development. During the initial design phase the client supplied me with text content for each page. I then created designs for desktop and mobile to make sure the website would perform well and provide a good experience for the user across all devices.
Features and functionality
The final site included the following.
- Responsive design that works across desktop, tablet and mobile
- Custom blog page and blog post template
- Projects page and single project template
- Custom icons for each of the 5 services
- Site speed optimisation resulting in a loading time < 1 second
Summary
The final website gives Opinari Ltd an unfussy, minimal contemporary look which allows them to showcase their services, how they work and their value proposition to potential clients more clearly. The client is able to publish new blog posts and case studies themselves, and the templating system means any future updates to pages can be made easily.
