Birmingham-based makeup artist Nikhila Patel wanted a new logo for her rebrand as The Luxe Look. She had previously made her own logo but wanted a stylish new look for her business card, price list and other business collateral. Nikhila wanted a feminine look with added glamour, and was particularly keen on incorporating script-based typography and a diamond motif.
I presented a range of concepts to Nikhila, and as always provided concepts that matched and extended the brief. After speaking with Nikhila further it was clear that she wanted the logo to work with a range of pastel colours and so I developed a complementary colour palette based on pastel shades of pink, purple and green. The final concept incorporated the elements requested by Nikhila, and I also developed a range of logo variations for use in different contexts. To round out the brand materials I also developed a pattern based on the overall identity for use in a range of different applications.
