The Shooting Gallery
Jim wanted a new logo because his previous one was a bit dated, and he needed a new look to provide a figurehead for his website and promotional materials. A photography business is all about image, and it was time to help update The Shooting Gallery.
At first it was tempting to try and incorporate some kind of target element, but I felt that although this worked in terms of the words used in the logo, it didn’t really fit with the overall aesthetic Jim was after. It was also perhaps an overly masculine approach – not something really suited to a wedding photography business! After developing multiple concepts and discussing them with Jim I finally settled on this logo. It has a classy and contemporary look, while also incorporating a camera element. Jim was kind enough to provide me with one of the wooden boxes he now uses to present photographs to his clients – the logo looks really nice debossed into the wood.
